The key to good Lymphatic health

The key to unlocking the power of the Lymphatic System is an Alkaline diet and adding foods high in Bioflavonoids. The health of the lymph, lymphatic vessels, lymph nodes and all the lymphatic organs (tonsils, thymus, spleen, liver, appendix and bone marrow) are promoted by an alkaline environment, which is controlled by your internal pH. When naturally balanced your body is alkaline (a pH level of 7.35-7.45). Alkaline foods will help to balance internal pH from the excess protein, fat, sugar, sweets & acid-forming convenience foods we may eat.

An Alkaline diet incorporates green vegetables, especially dark leafy greens; raw or sprouted nuts, especially almonds, pistachios, macadamia (roasting any nut makes it acidic), raw sunflower or pumpkin seeds, and low glycemic fruits, such as apples, berries, and avocado. Lemons & limes are alkaline to the internal system of your body. Eat beneficial complex carbohydrates such as whole grains, brown or wild rice, and quinoa. A good rule to follow is when eating protein, balance it with alkaline green veggies!

Add foods rich in Bioflavonoids, super-antioxidants that support strong cell formations and suppress poor cellular growth. These are found in many foods that contain vitamin C, which increases iron absorption, enhancing its effect on the health of the body. Eat lots of raw colorful vegetables such as, sweet & bell peppers, carrots, beets, tomatoes, asparagus, artichokes, parsley, broccoli, sprouts, cabbage-type vegetables and dark leafy greens. Tropical and Citrus fruits are full of Bioflavonoids, the more colorful the better. Fresh pineapple contains the enzyme Bromelin, which helps digestion and, like garlic, has natural anti-inflammatory properties. Green tea has powerful chemical elements that contribute to good health.

As always, stay hydrated with clear water! Your Lymphatic System will thank you.
